Natural Chimneys/Afton, VA

So, I'm four months late posting these. This day trip happened backed in December of 25'. The winter season decreases my drive and motivation to do the simplest of tasks. I bought a physical scanner to transfer my Polaroids to my laptop so, you'll see a change in the scan quality. Anyways, peep the blue tint on these photos. Not-so-fun-fact, shooting Polaroids in temperatures below 35F gives you this end result. They're not terrible, per say, but they aren't the best. It's a shame because I have no intentions of returning to Natural Chimney. It was a nice sight, but not one worth revisiting again.

The Natural Chimneys are located near an unincorporated community called Mt. Solon.

As always, I take shots with my iPhone in case the Polaroids don't turn out well. It was a sunny day, but the temperature disrupted the color and contrast.

The Natural Chimneys are also referred to as :The Cyclopean Towers." Here's the plaque with more information.

The two bottom shots were taken from above and behind the towers.

Afton is another unincorporated community. It's located 43 minutes out from Mt. Solon. They have a scenic overlook off the highway that I stopped at. I passed through on my way to and from Mt. Solon.
